Pilgrimage of Catholic Tradition Warsaw - Czestochowa







Between August 6-14 many thousands of people marched the distance between Warsaw and Czestochowa to reach the heart of Poland – Jasna Góra Monastery. This year it was the 300th pilgrimage that covered the distance of over 243 kilometers, as so many generation of faithful since the year 1711, when the first group of pilgrims went from Warsaw to Czestochowa.

Dogma of the Assumption of Our Lady

November 1, 1950 Pope Pius XII declared the dogma of the Assumption of Our Lady (6:00 min):
Declaramus et definimus divinitus revelatum dogma esse : Immaculatam Deiparam semper Virginem Mariam, expleto terrestris vitae cursu, fuisse corpore et anima ad caelestem gloriam assumptam.
We pronounce, declare, and define it to be a divinely revealed dogma: that the Immaculate Mother of God, the ever Virgin Mary, having completed the course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul into heavenly glory.

Liturgical Movement Made in Poland
