Liturgical Curiosities in Poland in 1966

It is the year 1966.

For the Church in Poland it is the 1000th anniversary of the ‘Baptism of Poland’.

For the Universal Church it is one of the first years of the unfortunate liturgical reforms.

The images are taken from the Mass celebrated by archbishop Stefan cardinal Wyszyński, the prime of Poland, in Częstochowa on August 26, 1966.

Note:

· the Mass is celebrated already verus populum

· on the altar there is Blessed Sacrament in the monstrance – Missa Coram Sanctissimum – which was a custom for very solemn occasions

Any other remarks?
