Pater Principum et Regum

Preyer from the Papal Coronation rite:

Accipe tiaram tribus coronis ornatam, et scias te esse Patrem Principum et Regum, Rectorem Orbis, in terra Vicarium Salvatoris Nostri Jesu Christi, cui est honor et gloria in sæcula sæculorum.

Receive the tiara adorned with three crowns and know that thou art Father of Princes and Kings, Ruler of the World, Vicar of Our Savior Jesus Christ in earth, to whom is honor and glory in the ages of ages.

Father of Princes and Kings - the Pope is above all secular powers. He is the Father for those who possess the earthly power. He is on the top of all secular and ecclesiastical hierarchies. No men can judge the Pope, because he is The one, who can be only judged by God Himself. He is the supreme legislator.

Here the word FATHER is important. He is above all people, but as a Father who cares about all.
